Recognizing that international trade rides on the back on produce from the various environmental sources, OWIT Nigeria takes deliberate actions to integrate organizational goals and objectives with principles of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Through an analysis of various stakeholders’ perceptions and conditional needs, we have established the OWIT Nigeria Community Care (OWITComCare) project as a self-help intervention geared towards the needy during periods of societal disabilities.

Our CSR commitments mean at least percentage of the organizations’ income driven endeavors are channeled into conducting prompt interventions in accordance with stipulated guidelines.  Therefore, OWITCOMCARE strategies directly engages or collaborates with the partners in terms of expanding the scope of identified environmental need by contributing to:
  • Address hunger and malnutrition; promote preventive health care and sanitation
  • Vocational skills especially among children, women, elderly, and the differently abled and livelihood enhancement projects
  • Setting up homes and hostels for women and orphans; setting up old age homes, day care centres and such other facilities for senior citizens and measures for reducing inequalities faced by socially and economically backward groups;
  • Promote rural sports, nationally recognised sports, paralympic sports etc;
  • National Relief Fund or any other fund set up by the Central Government for socio-economic development and relief and welfare;
  • Rural development projects in general.

By and large, the OWITComCare project mainly pursues the aim to directly impact our environmental performance practices. More importantly, we appreciate the opportunity to give back and be harbingers of positive impact on the livelihood of those who may have further slipped into insufficiency due to unexpected occurrences.
